English - Possessive nouns

Do you remember what possessive nouns are?

A possessive noun is a noun that possesses something, have something.

Do you remember how a possessive noun is formed?

In most cases, a possessive noun is formed by adding an apostrophe and s to the noun, or if the noun is plural and already ends in s, only an apostrophe needs to be added.

Examples:

The ball of the girl.
The girl's ball.

The house of my cousins.
The cousins' house.
